Loehnig German Band |
The
Loehnig German Band performs at festivals in the area, including the
Strassenfest in St. Louis, public dances, parties and other
occasions. The band specializes in German folk music including
waltzes, polkas, schottisches, vocals and yodeling, and special
selections on the button box accordion. Members of the band
are Terry Loehnig, guitar: Marilyn Loehnig, accordion: Bonnie Oncken,
drums: Jim Oncken, trombone: and Ehren Oncken, button-box accordion.
The Loehnig German Band has been selected to perform on the Big Joe
Polka Show on RFD-TV. Ehren Oncken, a member of the band, has
just released a new CD and cassette of button-box music which
includes two original compositions of his own--a waltz and a polka. |
