10am & 2 pm. Learn, hands-on, the German tradition of summersausage making. Join two-time hall of famerWurstmeister Mike Sloan for this VIP event that’s both informative and entertaining. Classes last 2 – 2 1/2 hours. Mike will show you the ropes of summer sausage making and cover topics such as:
Cold smoked vs. hot smoked
Natural fermentation vs. artificial fermentation
Natural casings vs. collagen casings
Safe handling

 Come ready to wear an apron, turn a crank on an antique stuffer or hold a sausage casing.Designed for home sausage makers! From those of you who have never ground meat in your life to those who are sausage maker extraordinaires but want to learn more.

 Each class includes a discussion of ingredients and a time to taste in order to understand the value of using flavorful ingredients and using traditional methods.

Sparkling wine reception begins at 5:30 p.m. 
WHAT:
 Our 26th annual Norton tasting and dinner begins with a sparkling wine and appetizer reception in the Apostle Cellar, then continues on to our pavilion for the 10-Year vertical Norton tasting. There you will have the opportunity to taste 10 vintages, side-by-side, with winemaker Dave Johnson. The tasting is followed by a three-course gourmet wine dinner. This evening you will also get the first chance to purchase some of the older Norton vintages. 
WHERE:
 Stone Hill Winery, in the sparkling wine and appetizer reception will be held in the Apostle Cellar followed by the tasting in the pavilion. The dinner will be served at Vintage Restaurant.
MENU: The sparkling wine reception will feature an assortment of appetizers, and the dinner will be a three-course gourmet dinner matched with Stone Hill's award-winning wines. (The menu is yet to be determined.)
TICKETS: Reservations are required. Seating is limited to 126 people. Tickets are non-refundable and cancellations are not accepted.
